As I once again have the opportunity to reach out and say thank you I am reminded of a great American poet and author, Maya Angelo. She was once quoted as saying, “I’ve learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.”
Thank you for reaching out and not only caring for the families at House of Refuge but for providing them with some of life’s necessities. You have made them feel like there is hope, like they matter, and most importantly that they belong to something bigger and better. They belong to a community of caring people.
I can only tell you, from the depths of my soul, THANK YOU. But, I talk to God all the time about you. Please know that you too have an amazing reward in store for all that you have done to support the families we serve. Until then, may He richly bless YOU for how you have made our families feel through your kindness and generosity.
