Adopt a Home Program
The House of Refuge Community includes a neighborhood of 88 two-bedroom homes for families experiencing homelessness. By providing a home and comprehensive wrap-around services, families overcome homelessness, become self-sufficient and move to sustainable housing.
The Adopt a Home program provides the necessary funding to support a family for an entire year and with it, you will change the trajectory of their lives forever.
What Your Adopt a Home Donation Will Provide
Essential housing and a sense of community for a family dealing with homelessness.
- Two-bedroom, single-bath home
- Reduced rent that includes utilities
- A drug & alcohol-free community
- Maintenance services
- Community garden
- Community recreation areas
- On-site laundry facility
In addition, House of Refuge families receive:
- Food
- Home furnishings
- Clothing from the Donation Center
- Access to Community Center and Teen Center that offers programming for children
- Access to Employment & Education Center
- Financial Literacy Education
- An Individualized Case Management Plan
